Diamond-Shaped DYE COLOR CHIPS for Candle Coloring (You Choose Color) You are purchasing a pack of 20 or 50 dye color chips for use in candle coloring. Each diamond-shaped chip will color a least one pound of wax a medium shade. If using a wax additive such as Lustre Crystals or Vybar, your colors will lighten and require the addition of more chips for a darker color. These diamond-shaped color chips can be used in straight paraffin wax, wax blends, soy wax and soy vegetable wax blends. Not recommended for use in Gel wax. Please note that colors marked with (p) in drop-down menu above are pigment chips rather than dye chips. These colors do not actually dissolve in wax but are held in suspension. When using pigment chips, the wax must be stirred well and any color particles not held in suspension should be filtered out of the wax.
